Our written translations have the following characteristics:
Accuracy
The second element that contributes to the accuracy of a translation is our own research for each job. It starts with a review of the client’s publications and digital resources. We then extend that to reading about the topic of the text in reports and documents from other players in that industry. Finally, we read relevant academic articles and media reports to ensure that the terms used in the written translation are correct.
Speed
In a busy world, time is precious. That’s why we are available for written translations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If it’s urgent, we’ll be working around the clock to get your translation to you as soon as possible.
We are willing to work nights, weekends and holidays to ensure that our clients meet their deadline. This is a highly valued feature of our written translation service.
We are also flexible with the way we work to reduce translation delays. If there is a rush, we suggest that a client divide their document into parts. When they finish writing the first part, they send it to us, and we translate it while they finish the second part, and so on.
Unfortunately, translators are notorious for being slow. In contrast, ONG Traducciones is well known for its ability to work non-stop when necessary. When a job is not urgent, we still strive to deliver documents before the deadline so that the client can devote more time to proofreading the text.
Quality
Quality is the most important component of our translations. Due to structural differences in grammar between Spanish and English, a written translation cannot be literal. It is necessary to rewrite the original text in the target language so that it makes sense. Unfortunately, many written translations are translated literally, word for word. At ONG Traducciones, we seek to both translate and transform the text at the same time so that its original meaning is perfectly understood in the target language.
This means that we have the confidence to improve text. We split a long sentence in two to make it easier to understand, if we are translating into English. We combine two sentences with punctuation and a connector word if we are translating into Spanish. We adjust your text so that we achieve the goal of any written translation: that it is clearly understood in the target language.
We also carry out quality control checks of our work before sending it to the client. We proofread the final document, not once, but twice, finding small errors in the writing and improving sections of the text to ensure improved fluency.
We started ONG Traducciones in the city of Bogota, Colombia with exclusively doing written translations. Although today we have expanded our services, written translations are still a fundamental component of our work and we are very proud of their quality.

Advertising
In the production of advertising materials, there is always a strong focus on design, colors and graphics, which means that it is easy to forget that you need a great translation of the text! High quality translations of physical advertising materials such as brochures, posters, postcards and portfolios, as well as digital products published on social media, can increase opportunities and improve the public profile of an organization or company. High quality translation for your advertising is a small but important part of a successful marketing strategy.
